Silent Auction

 

The Lodi Historical Society is putting some fun in its fundraising

with a silent auction on Thursday, August 19. Join us from 5 to 7

pm in the tent at Dano’s Heuriger Viennese Restaurant for wine,

nibblies, live music, and the chance to bid on many different auction

items that have been donated to help us raise money.

We’ve got everything from oil changes and pedicures to concert

tickets, art works and vacation packages.*

 

It’s a silent auction, so no loud auctioneer to ruin the atmosphere—

just good wine from local vineyards and good food from Dano’s

kitchen, plus you and your friends and a little amiable competition

over who gets to take home the prizes.

The Finger Lakes Chamber Ensemble has their season opener at the LHS brick building on Sunday, September 26, at 4 pm.  They will be joined by Nicolas DiEugenio on violin, and Diane Birr, on piano.  The all-Czech program features MARTINU’s Madrigals for Violin and Viola, No. 1,  JANÁCEK’s Sonata for Violin and Piano, HUSA’s, Eight Czech Duets for Piano 4-Hands and DVORÁK’s Piano Quartet in E-flat, Op. 87.  Join us for a wonderful afternoon of music.  Reception to follow. 

In concert: Sarah Sabol, organ and Shade Zajac, cello

Don't miss the upcoming concert by young local musicians Sarah Sabol and Shade Zajac on August 14 at the LHS building, 4 pm. Sarah is just back from the Interlochen summer camp and will return to her organ studies at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in the fall, and Shade is on his way to Nazareth as a music education major, specializing in cello and composition.
