Each year the society offers a $1000 cash scholarship to South Seneca High School seniors who are residents of Lodi. To apply for the scholarship, students must complete a project relating to the history of the town, in the spring of the year of graduation.

Past projects include written reports, a photo essay and a scratch-built model of the historic Eagle Hotel. The recipient of the 2004 award was Phoebe VanVleet, who completed a report, with photos, on the train station located on Lodi Station Road, no longer standing.
